CQ fluency is pleased to announce and congratulate our Global Director of Life Sciences, Clio Schils, who will serve as the new President for Elia – European Language Industry Association. Prior to this current leadership role with Elia, Clio served as Vice Treasurer and Vice President for Elia for the past two years.
Clio is a well-respected veteran of the translation and localization industry with more than 20 years’ experience on both the client and vendor sides with a focus in life sciences. Prior to joining CQ fluency, she served in senior management positions in the life science sector for medium and large sized translation and localization companies, as well as at Medtronic. Since 2005, she also organizes and moderates the Life Sciences Business Round Table for the Localization Institute in the US, Europe and APAC.
About the news of Clio’s appointment, President and CEO of CQ fluency, Elisabete Miranda said, “CQ fluency is thrilled that Clio joined our organization and we are looking forward to the contributions she will make to our life science division,” Miranda continued, “Having her named President of Elia is such an added bonus and we are grateful to have the opportunity for one of our executives to be leading an organization such as Elia, in a global capacity.” Following the announcement, Clio Schils said: “It is a privilege for me to be elected as the new President of Elia. I would like to thank Françoise Bajon for her dedication to Elia over the past seven years and for being instrumental in bringing Elia to where we are today.” Schils continued, “I am very much looking forward to leading the next stage of evolution of Elia and upholding the legacy of the association.”
