Elisabete Miranda, President and CEO of CQ fluency, a translation and communications company in Hackensack New Jersey, was awarded the SBA’s coveted NJ Minority Small Business Person 2012 award yesterday at their offices in Hackensack, New Jersey. This marks the 30th year that the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has presented this honor and the first time Ms. Miranda has been its recipient.
Alfred Titone, the NJ District Director and Richard Zilg, Deputy District Director of the U.S. Small Business Administration made a special visit to the offices of CQ in Hackensack to present the NJ Minority Small Business Person of the Year award to President and CEO, Elisabete Miranda. The honor, which has been awarded annually for the last 30 years, was presented to Elisabete based on the company’s increase in sales, employees, financial strength and community involvement. Elisabete Miranda, who immigrated to the United States from Brazil in 1994, received the award in front of her staff.
Ms Miranda, who has worked in many industries, became a partner at Translation Plus in 2000. Since becoming the sole stockholder in 2006 Miranda has grown the company by 275%, and now services Fortune 500 corporations, federal, state and local government organizations in the US and around the world.
