painting a picture with everyone
Our business is diversity. We thrive on it. We celebrate it. And we encourage all of our employees to embrace and share their ethnic and cultural differences with one another.
-Elisabete Miranda, CEO
diversity + inclusion
We are a group of diverse individuals who realize what can be achieved when you are part of a strong team. Our diversity policy includes a commitment to making a positive impact everywhere. We are passionate about not only being part of change, but being thought leaders in how we can improve the lives of people across the globe through our work.
supplier diversity
CQ fluency’s supplier diversity mission is to proactively identify and build relationships with certified small and minority owned businesses as well as enterprises owned by minorities, women, veterans, LGBT, and disabled people.
It is our company’s policy to always include certified minority and diversity businesses when buying products and services.
environmental policy
Our environmental policy aims to drive sustainability as best we can throughout the organization by reducing our environmental impact, monitoring our performance and incorporating sustainability in most business decisions. We select suppliers who share our commitment to sustainability, and we conduct our business in alignment with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
CQ philanthropy
CQtrees
As a part of our commitment to sustainability, we commit to plant a tree for every engine we train to help offset carbon emissions with the help of our partner Tree-Nation. We are not only looking to reduce our carbon footprint, but also improve lives and the environment.
We are proud to offer this opportunity to our staff members, vendors and clients as only with their support we are able to contribute to the environment.
CQkids
As a translation company, we know first-hand how important it is to help vulnerable communities.
For the past 16 years, CQ fluency has grown our annual donation to Save The Children and we now sponsor 200+ children annually to address their unique needs and their surrounding communities. We are the only company that sponsors children in every single country that Save The Children operates in.
volunteering
CQ fluency provides staff with up to 8 hours of volunteer time to incorporate community outreach into their lives. If there is a cause a staff member feels passionate about, they share it with the wider team and take time away from work to concentrate on giving back to said cause.
Past examples include fundraising for community school development and participating in the Girl Scout Cookie Program and Read Across America. We have historically matched employee and client donations for numerous natural disasters and emergencies, such as those that affected New Orleans and Haiti.
diversity alliance for science
We are proud to be involved with the community outreach committee for Diversity Alliance for Science, with whom our CEO, Elisabete, has been a committee member for over 10 years and chairwoman for 3 years.
As part of the involvement, we manage all of the work they do to support students in STEM education nationwide, raising funds to help support technology, activities, supplies, workshops etc. for the students/schools.
CQ fluency cares
We believe that during a crisis, the people who cope best are those who help others. CQ fluency Cares is a forum for our employees, clients, vendors and friends to give back.
Our CQ fluency family couldn’t simply be bystanders during the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Our CEO and employees organized a fundraiser early on to support a local organization (Oasis: A Haven for Women and Children) during the pandemic to provide hot meals and packages of foods to families in need.
